I used to listen to this song at one point for comfort. I hope this can help you guys hang on for a little bit longer.

Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey - When you believe

    Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
    We barely understood

    Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
    We were moving mountains long
    Before we knew we could

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
    You will when you believe

    In this time of fear
When prayers so often prove(s) in vain
Hope seems like the summer birds
    Too swiftly flown away

    Yet now I'm standing here
    My heart's so full I can't explain
    Seeking faith and speaking words
    I never thought I'd say

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
    You will when you believe

They don't always happen when you ask
And it's easy to give in to your fears
But when you're blinded by your pain
Can't see your way straight throught the rain
A small but still resilient voice
    Says hope is very near

    There can be miracles
    When you believe
    Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill Who knows what miracles, you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
    somehow you will
    You will when you believe

    You will when you
    You will when you believe
    Just believe...in your heart
    Just believe
    You will when you believe~

Sent - I'm sorry you're in pain and maybe you didn't think the song was real.

Please post some more. Stick around. There are ways to live without suffering and misery.

    R Kelly - I Believe I Can Fly

I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

    [Chorus:]
    I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
    I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
    I believe I can fly
    I believe I can fly
    I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me, oh

If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

    [Chorus]

Hey, cause I believe in me, oh

If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

    [Chorus]

Hey, if I just spread my wings
    I can fly
    I can fly
    I can fly, hey
If I just spread my wings
    I can fly
    Fly-eye-eye

So I'm 24 this year. Haven't experienced true love before, and it's truly one of the motivations I have that keeps me going. If you're like me, and have always wished that one day you will find "that one" in your life, that one where we can share our true love with and be truly loved, then let's hang on together. Let's fly through our sorrows into a world, a world filled with joy and happiness.. a world where the one, the one we've always meant to meet, the true love of our lives.. have always been waiting. I know it's out there, "If we just believe it, there's nothing to it".

theo hoping to get a gf was my biggest motivation to live too

i even went from overweight to chizzled hero and joined college and everything and sitll never met anyone

go to wikipedia and read aobut natural selection.

those who are meant to find love, dont sit around listening to songs bout it, wishing and dreaming.

and those who do and later find someone and say they are happy? they are just settling for whatever they can get.

True love.. sounds surreal I know.. but I know, and we all know, that it can be a reality. Sent all you need is some

optimism, and I will not let that go. I will not deprive myself of that hope; I don't wanna direct my fate, I want my fate to

direct me. As long as I know that that reality lives.. the motivation will not die inside me, and I will continue to hold on..

Ain't Got No/I Got Life - Nina Simone

I ain't got no home, ain't got no shoes
Ain't got no money, ain't got no class
Ain't got no skirts, ain't got no sweater
Ain't got no perfume, ain't got no beer
    Ain't got no man

Ain't got no mother, ain't got no culture
Ain't got no friends, ain't got no schooling
Ain't got no love, ain't got no name
Ain't got no ticket, ain't got no token
    Ain't got no God

    Then what have I got
    Why am I alive anyway?
    Yeah, what have I got
    Nobody can take away

Got my hair, got my head
Got my brains, got my ears
Got my eyes, got my nose
Got my mouth, I got my smile

I got my tongue, got my chin
Got my neck, got my boobs
Got my heart, got my soul
Got my back, I got my sex

I got my arms, got my hands
Got my fingers, got my legs
Got my feet, got my toes
Got my liver, got my blood

    I've got life
    I've got my freedom
    I've got life

    I've got life
    And I'm gonna keep it
    I've got life
And nobody's gonna take it away

    Have you got all that?

Every once in a while when I'm feeling really down I listen to one of these songs.. it's a great motivation

booster.. I turn up the volume, immerse myself, and sing along!.. if anyone is feeling down, please try it.. It can make a

    whole world of difference.

The OP's song is from a movie called The Prince of Egypt, which is about Moses. It's pretty good, you should see it sometime.

That song and "I Believe I Can Fly" are totally bringing me back to my excessive-movie-watching childhood right now.

"I Believe I Can Fly" is from the movie Space Jam.

Prince of Egypt was beautiful. This is the part from the movie that inspired the Mariah and Whitney version.

The R. Kelly song is actually from the great Looney Tunes basketball epic Space Jam. Don't fail to miss it if you can.

EDIT: Prin, how dare you ninja me so!

Today I was listening to this podcast called DNTO. I often listen to it, it's on CBC radio one, and the topic
was "What is the real power of music?" and I thought it would be a great show to share with you guys, it's
quite amusing and somewhat inspiring. You can stream it on their website: http://www.cbc.ca/dnto/
