I heard scratching on my window last night, but I banged on it a bit and it stopped, so I thought whatever it was went away. So I went in the bathroom to get ready for bed, and when I opened the door, there was something flying through the kitchen into the hallway. I am sure it was a bat though. I was too scared to go out of the bathroom for a while, but when I finally did, there was no sign of it and hasn't been all day. I think maybe it found its way back out again, unless it is hiding somewhere. But where would bats hide during the day? I've never had one in here before, so if anyone has any tips, they would be much appreciated.

Bats will roost almost anywhere so long as it is well sheltered and easily accessible. Best thing to do is leave them well alone, they dont cause any harm. Not only that nearly all species of bats are highly protected by law.
