When standing on your own is becoming a challenge that's when you seek support of others. Where do you seek yours?

I get most of my support from my friends. Without them I wouldn't be here. But that option was not on here.

    You forgot friends.

But I don't get much support, personally. My cat helps with panic attacks, though :D

So far, I really haven't sought out any support at all. I've just let my depression keep festering and growing worse. I need to seek support as my life is only going to get worse and worse but I don't know if I will ever get around to seeking it.

If I was to seek support, I'd first go to an internet forum. Sadly, I don't think my family would be of much help, even though they are my family, the closest people I have in my life.

I'm too afraid to seek help from them, I don't even know if they would give it. I'd rather do it through an anonymous internet forum for now.

The Internets cause I feel more free to speak as who I am on the inside. :)

But tbh, I don't know if anyone could do anything if I came to this site in the middle of an episode.

Could someone call the Police on me? Or the Hospital?

That would be very reassuring to know that this could take place.

Hey Rahul, I can understand. I don't have much family. Sometimes, you have to take the initiative to help yourself. If you are really psychotic and dangerous, take that step, march down to the ER and get yourself committed.
You can get involved in groups and therapy and stuff. Many folks are unfamiliar with mental illness and just don't know how to help.

BTW Rahul, if you come into the chat, you will make friends. :)
