I hope this doesn't get deleted for asking for tips, but where can I cut that I would have a lower risk of hitting a muscle or a nerve? Or are all spots basically equal? I'm really worried about the possibility of this happening one day. I'd just like to minimize that risk as much as possible.

The best way to minimise that risk, if you really have to cut, is to control it and keep it shallow. Maybe also try and look at other things you could do (positive things) to cope instead, like drawing on yourself, pinging yourself with an elastic band, holding red ice, etc.

With regards to giving you specific areas, I am not a doctor and would not like to suggest any areas, as if it went wrong, and you still hit something, that would be down to my ignorance.

I have severed tendons and it is not a good thing at all.

Sorry I can't be of much help.

    Please be very careful.
