So has anyone tried this? I was checking out simplynoise.com and found it a little easier to block out the noise from the roommate and his girlfriend...

I mean, I've always been a bad sleeper, so this is all very relative to the crap quality sleep and hour+ it always takes me to drift off.

But still I'd love to believe that some magical frequency could neutralize all the noises in my head and in the environment.

Suggestions for unconventional acoustic sleep aids are welcome

God knows I'm on medication, excercise, read before bed, and do every other trick in the book.

Sweet dreams to you all, anyway

I have a white noise box with ocean waves, train tracks, wind, bubbling brook, crickets, etc. on it. Sometimes I use it to drown out other noise. The best white noise is a fan.

I enjoy http://rainymood.com/ for when I need things like this, it also helps remind me of the petrichor of summertime, when I most feel at ease.
