Why is there this concept of "life" as priceless?

Everyone always says suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem but what's to say my problem is temporary. I've been dealing with bouts of depression for the past decade. I've barely been able to get out of bed for past few days. Have barely eaten. Can't stop crying. I guess I'm just missing what it is about "life" that makes it something everyone should want or have to go through.

It sounds as if you're dealing with something chemical that most people don't have to deal with. Imagine it like you're looking through one window, and so is everyone else who is depressed or suicidal, and the majority of the world is looking through another that is waaay clearer and easier to see through. Is there anything you can do to help with the depression? Or anything you've found that helps you cope? I've been in a place very similar to yours, and I'm sorry you are there again

Everyone has a price. Everyone has a breaking point.

It's up to you to determine what yours is.
