The noise you make when you're alone
Is almost as sad as the noise you make
When you are sobbing on the phone
Some dumb sob story to change my mind.

    The respirator in his room
    Is disrupted every other night
    Thinking of his daughter's safety--
    Is she gonna be alright?

You haven't quite gotten over me
    And maybe you're addicted.
    Shaky hands over your keyboard
Because you haven't got your last fix.

    Withdrawal symptoms may include
A seething hatred for me, you,
Everyone else in this whole entire earth.

    Withdrawal symptoms may include
Learning to be your own person, too
And not relying on everyone else in this whole entire earth.

The noise you make when you're alone
Is almost as sad as the noise you make
When you are sobbing on the phone
Some dumb sob story to change my mind.
