Does anyone else find night time harder to get through than day? I'm going through a phase right now where I try to go to sleep and as soon as I get in bed I'm in floods of tears, I'm lucky this week because my boyfriend is working nights, but when he's home it's a hard thing to hide. I keep it from him, don't criticise me for this, it is my choice and I have my reasons.

I'm kinda similar I guess. I'm very much a night person, it seems like its the only time I can think clearly, though with that usually comes all the thoughts that get me down. I see where you're coming from. I have a habit of going to bed 1/2am every night so as soon as I lie down I drift off.

It's harder in the nights for me, in the day you can occupy yourself but at night there's nothing to do but think.

I listen to music at night or watch a film / or talk on msn to my mate.

It is often tougher at night as it often feels so isolating. I stay with my boyfriend and he often sleeps around2ish. I tend to stay awake just thinking and this is can lead to self harm and my depression suffacing. Try listening to music or cooking. cooking is good fun :) and you get to eat the tasty stuff afterwards :)

I find it harder at nite too as it's the end of the day and I review what I did, or didn't do that day, and what I have to do tomorrow - and am overwhelmed by today's failures and tomorrow's demands.

Night times seem lonelier somehow so I guess that's why they are bad for me. My b/f is off drinking tonight so I guess tonight is lonely. I try and hide my depression it at the moment as well, and I feel so awful about what he thinks of me or how he is coping when I just can't hold it in sometimes. The worst thing for me to do at this hour is reading friends pages and blogs and realise how I'm incapable of socialising.

yeah, my nights are worst, no distraction, just my own thoughts to occupy my mind.
