It mainly refers to my general impassivity, my perpetual, stoic brooding, my imperviousness to reason and consolation, and the negligible influence that good experiences have on me. As a side note, I supposedly don't snore or move, with the exception of breathing, when I sleep, and my mother tried checking my pulse once. ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌
Mine is the name of the title character in Dorothy Parker's short story Big Blonde. We have a lot in common: top-heavy fat woman approaching middle age, forced by others to act like everything's fine even though depressed, self-medicates with alcohol (props to the fictional Hazel because she was getting boozed up during Prohibition). I'm not blonde or sexy, though.

started as an accurate description of myself. I used to be able to fake a sunny disposition very well. I cannot fake it anymore but I still like the screen name, and still often have to smile through things that are hard for the sake of my children. I got so used to doing it for them that I started doing it to everyone since its easier than explaining anything.
