Thank you so much for tagging me here Inno :) I have some more tags and then I will answer the q :) @luminance @1964dodge @Soul flower @Angie @Angie74 @Ineluki @Road to Nowhere @Autumn1973

What am I proud of? Simple really - surviving. Surviving despite struggling for most of my life for not feeling good enough or worthy of much, of being shuffled back and forth as a kid because of not being wanted by either my actual mom or pure evil stepmother. I did my best to be good enough for them but it never mattered because they are both selfish women in different ways. My stepmother is far worse of course (we’re talking severe psychological abuse, intentionally done because that was the form of “entertainment” that gave her the greatest enjoyment in life) but anyway as a result of that and them both having their own psychological problems, ya it has therefore been quite a challenge for me too.

I’m proud for surviving not just in a “staying alive” kind of way, but because I have managed to somehow still have a sincere love and interest in people. I think many people who survive that kind of treatment end up being quite angry, full of rage, hating the world and just very destructive forces in society. I have not done that and don’t think I ever could. Seeing their thoughtlessness like that, being able to treat a child/teen in such an unloving way made me want to do everything to be the complete opposite of that. I have struggled greatly with having many friends (have all the moving as a kid to thank for that, partly anyway), I don’t know why except that maybe deep down I maybe feel like I don’t deserve them or something.

Anyway ya I guess this is a long answer to the q but anyway I am done now and hope everyone is well and has a good day :)

Im just proud I have been getting up early and eating breakfast, with some luxurious 5hrs sleep.😂 And nap after work but I guess theres no nap for this Wed & Thurs, since I'm heading for 2 pre-wedding events for my cousin before her big day this Sat. I look forward to have time off on Friday and Sunday.

Todays breakfast issa full spread. I hope to go groceries shopping later after therapy to prep for snack for work. 😸

Good morning, its 9:10am, we had breakfast at 8:30am. ✨🍳🥞☕️

I'm not very proud of myself for much of anything but I should be. I have a black belt in karate and almost reached 2nd degree but that was 20 years ago and I didn't do much exercise for 10 years after. I am testing for black sash in tai chi in November so that's an achievement. I guess I'm most proud of is dropping 50 lbs although it took me 2 1/2 years. I have stalled at losing weight but I'm not gaining.

thank you for opening the cafe @Innocent Forever and inviting me @JMG

this week i plan to go to my lung specialist wednsday, i plan on working on my 64 dodge this week so i can go to a car show on saturday

as for what i'm proud of i hate bragging but i'll put a few things down

1. the way we raised our kids to be respecful to their elders and help elderly relatives
2. my wife and i have always tried to help people, anything from helping someone start a car to a large fundraiser for charity
3. i became a local union president so i could help the employees
4. i try to do a little bit here to help people.
5. i'm proud to try to live a christian life
6. last but not least i'm proud of my 64 dodge and the 3 trophies she has won

i hope nobody asks us to list things we are ashamed of, it'll be 9 pages long lol

hugs for all

So I know my answer to every question comes around to Jessica but, well, I’m proud to have been with her.

Ask a dude what he is, and most will answer with their profession. My dad would say he’s a longshoreman. My cousin would say doctor. Some would say they’re a father, or a husband. I fall into the last category; the only identity I’ve ever really taken pride in was being her man.

I mean, firstly, she had options, you know? And when we got together was the first time I was ever aware of others being envious of me. Ultimately that’s a small thing, but it was pretty far from my usual experience and it felt pretty damn good.

But, more importantly, was what our relationship really represented to me. And this touches on what @JMG said.

I go back and forth between ruminating to an unhealthy degree about certain experiences, and dismissing them as trivial and unimpactful. But, objectively, I’ve seen and gone through some fucked up stuff and it has (and continues to) affect me negatively.

But being with her showed me that parts of me that I had thought missing were still there, just maybe hiding. We didn’t have what anyone would consider a “dream life.” But she showed me that I was still capable of trust, of building positive relationships, of caring for others, of being happy and (more importantly) content.

So I was proud to find that, despite all the shit life has thrown at me, I am merely damaged, not irreparably broken. And proud to have been shown that by the best person I ever knew.

Proud of myself for everything I've gotten through so far. For proving people wrong when they didn't think I could succeed. For being myself when I had to go through major hardships and lose basically everything just to do what was right for me. And I'm not done. Just finished an application for a PhD program at the school where I got my bachelor's degree. It's a little different than the original plans I had, but this program would be a good fit to give me an opportunity to use some of my experiences to help others both individuals and trying to help figure out a better way for things to operate in the system and the world in general.

Day late sorry.

I’m proud of myself when I don’t rage out and hold my tongue!
Doesn’t happen very often though!

I give myself a pat on the back, and beam with pride when I do !😂 sounds petty but I take my wins when I can 🤷‍♀️.

Today though didn’t turn out the best. I was raging about a coworker and ended up throwing my mop in front of my morning manager…… she chill though… Just needed to explain myself! Which ended up by her telling me to go ahead and take off 5 minutes early. (We left at same time) . My rage was justified in her eyes!! Lol or probably didn’t want me to commit a felony once she left 😂

Hopefully the rest of the week will be like today was. I loved not having to get out in the heat and it is hot and getting worse. Not even Summer and heat indexes are over 100. I may melt. LOL. I did have to get out Monday for jury duty and yesterday to go in to work but with luck it will now be resting with the A/C blasting and under the ceiling fan. I hope all are able to stay cool and relaxed. :)
