I just thought I would share this moment with you guys… It’s somewhat of a bittersweet one, but I’m feeling really strongly about the miscarriage this morning, so here goes…
It was the end of December, and it was not long after I had started bleeding. Me and Mike were still hoping that it would be nothing, and that the pregnancy would be fine. But I was upset, thinking, what if I am losing my baby? I was breaking down completely. Mike was staying strong for me though.
So he talks to my tummy, and he says to our baby, “It’s mammy’s birthday soon, Jack. And I want you to hang on in there, hang in for mammy’s birthday. She loves you so much, you make her so happy, so hold on tight, okay?”
He did. He managed to hold on for a whole 5 days after my birthday, and let me spend my 19th under the impression that, in 8 months, I would have my little baby Jack to hold.
