Christians, what do you believe happens spiritually when someone dies by suicide? Do you believe suicide automatically condemns a person to hell, or do you believe salvation and God’s grace still apply? I’m especially interested in what Scripture you use to support your view. Please be respectful—I’m genuinely trying to understand different Christian perspectives.
I am not a practicing Christian, and i haven`t read the Bible, but my belief is this.
Those who take other life`s by violence are condemned to hell, or at least will not gain entry into Heaven. God is a forgiving God, who will show mercy and forgiveness if you commit suicide. However, when you leave this mortal coil, your Soul will kneel before the Lord. It is asked by him if you repent what you have done. Your Soul cannot lie. If your Soul truly repents, and the Lord grants you forgiveness and mercy, you will enter into Heaven. It is your Soul, if forgiven by the Lord, that will be able to carry on it`s journey and enter into a new life. The Spirit of you, which is more closer to God, is what enters into Heaven. It is said somewhere in the Bible, that your Spirit then becomes an angel of God, a heavenly being.
Is there an Hell? Well i would say that there is, but that's really not up for debate but then, other people might have say on that subject.
