for context all my roommates 4 years younger than me and due to past misccomunications it became a hell hole living here and it became a blame game and the 2 of them are leaving and im kinda iffy about my roommate like thers good moments theres a lot i dont like i feel like im nit picking but issues are all basic stuff like putting dishes in a organized way instead of everything getting lost doing chores, im the ne basically talking to managment all the time, making calls at work breaks or making time to make sure the maintainence technician is home. I am not sure why it feel likes when the other roommates do it the maintainence people dont respond or show up, or the roommates ar like sorry i have class this and. Idk if im going crazy i will be graduating in next may and desperate to find a full time job but too burnt out for the grind, and stuck in the middle at this point i realize i wanted to be friends, but every time i do something it wud get misunderstood and worse. It felt like im living in someone else apt, at his point i hate everyone for differeent reasons. One girl basically said i was rude to her friends cuz they cudnt use my bathroom at their party when i specifically said and my roommate dont want guests that are not ours using it let alone dozens of people. Apparently giving their friends consideration and space was "rude" but didnt mention it till now. Saying she would've renewed the lease if I and my roommate were more "welcoming". Honestly it sucks cuz ever since i moved to this new city by myself its annoying i have this insecure personality even though i was confident before, and i am sucking up to the literal children of roommate to maintain peace and for ducking what!!!? I lost my car cuz of their shitty traffic rules that are fatal, the city doesnt care. Its a college town, so all my bus passes and social life is tied to the school. So all gone when i graduate. We will continuing a new lease here till my roommate and the other new roommates graduate. But I desparately want to leave sooo sooo bad. I hate the mismatch in furniture that randomly shows up theres no collective aesthethic and when i voice things i goes into the void and i got told i forgot, i dont remember, or ignored. Nows its become a whos more of a bigger victim. Idk ami crazy for wanting to move out by myself? nowing theres a risk ic ant afford, it and full time jobs seem like a pipe dream? Like i wanted to leave by august next month (our lease started last september) But from the beginning my parents kept saying dont move by urself you cannot afford rent and bills urself with a aprt time job and i agree,

Living with others who are not like minded can be difficult, be it roommates, partners, or family.

It is also risky to rent a room from a stranger. But possibly more structured.

With less than two months remaining, it may be too overwhelming to search BUT

Maybe switching apartments to where there are less roommates may be an option if the rent is in your price range. Maybe an apt with just two occupants. Separate bed and bath but shared living and kitchen.

So although a bit time consuming, it may be worth asking mgmt if you can switch without a deposit instead of spending another year of unpleasantness with current folks.

I wish you the best outcome in your circumstances.
