Hey everyone, really been missing seeing cafe’s so thought I’d post one for today. I realize it’s the holiday season for many and so most are probably quite busy. Hope everyone is well though.

It was tempting to put together a “Christmas themed” collage, there’s definitely lots of cool Christmas pics out there. Anyway, I did this one (didn’t make the pics, found them online) so feel free to pick which of the pics is your fave and reply about it if you want.

Or, feel free to talk about your day/week/month, something you think is positive/inspiring and/or funny, or whatever else you want :) ;)

And now, my own replies about fave pic & questions :)

1. Fave pic - #2, the cats. I love cats of course, and also the style and how colorful it is.

2. Day: Pretty good so far, trying as always to stay positive, hopeful and optimistic about things.

Week: This has been a bit of a challenge in some ways, but despite some negative family drama happening, I feel proud of myself for handling it as well as I have. I could definitely easily be much worse! Lol :p

Month: Overall pretty good. Before and after the family drama nonsense, it’s been fairly uneventful. Got all my presents wrapped, most of my cards done (thankfully I don’t do many these days, overall I prefer that cos I find it a bit tiring tbh lol) and Christmas plans are now set. I’m glad to say I am now feeling zero dread about any of it! :)

3. Something I think is positive - well, lots of things really, but some I especially love are animals (especially cats, horses, sheep, jellyfish, fish & birds), positive/inspiring quotes, art, nice pictures, helping others, seeing others being kind in some way, nature, games, reading & writing.

Thanks also for opening the cafe @JMG. I also like the cats for similar reasons but also Picture 1. Picture 6 reminds me of our cabin before the divorce and I need to forget it. I also need to get over it.

Today i planned to bake and I might. Short on flour though and weather is not good due to a thin layer of snow and ice so I may forgo going out for flour. I could also make christmas candy (sugar and butter, what more can you ask for.?

Week: Lots of appointments. Christmas wrapping is done except for some stragglers. First dispersion of christmas gifts is Friday. Tuesday I file an appeal with SS so I don't know if it'll go well. Then a round of doctor's appointments.

Attitude is a little down due to pain and general loneliness. But it'll get better. I hope.

My favorite picture is #6, I do love the forest capped in snow. A sight rarely seen in these parts. :)

Day: pretty good and lazy.

Week: This past week has been pretty long with me working 10 hour days so glad it is over. It has been a busy and interesting week. It seems that more of the systems and procedures we have seem to be getting more issues.

Month: Not so good. Between two wrecks and a couple of allergy outbreaks quite hectic. I do have an appointment tomorrow with an allergist and hopefully it will not be too bad.

I just look forward to and hopeful that things even back out to a normal dull roar.

Thanks for the tag @JMG
I like the cats the best.
My day wasn't the greatest because I watched a really terrible Spurs game. I watched at home instead of going to the pub like I normally do because the roads were bad due to snow, I was coming off an overnight shift when the match started at 9 AM, and I still had a bit of work to do to finish my papers. But I was luckily a but further ahead on my papers than I thought I would be, so I was able to get some sleep. Gotta leave for work again in a bit, but I don't feel like getting out of bed.
My past week was a bit rough because I had a lot going on with school, but I just turned in my last 2 papers, so now I can relax. This was my last semester of classes for my PhD program before I begin my dissertation, so hopefully I finished strong.
My month has just been okay. Not much to say about it.
Something positive is that I'm off on Tuesday, so I'm going to try to go out somewhere, even just for a little bit. There's a hot dog place (and a few other decent restaurants) not too far from me, so even if I just go get dinner there, that would be nice.

I like the picture of the snow forest more. I don't know why. Maybe because it is a christmas thing.

There is nothing really happening in these days. I guess everyone is just waiting for christmas. I wonder if anyone will be at christmas in my house besides mom and stepfather. I want to do more stuff, but I have no idea of what to do.
