Good day Café peeps. On the menu today is @NYJmpMaster's omlette. @Freya will be making the chilli

So the challenge today is to write a Haiku about winter.

Snow is so pretty
Despite the cold chilly air
Brings the child out

Dark cold freezing nights
Fireplace provides you heat
So cozy on a cold night

I knew the secret to my omelettes would some day get out.... I actually made omelettes or some big breakfast nearly every sunday morning for the family when all the kids were home. Now that there is only the my wife, the youngest, and myself at home most weekends we tend to go out to eat instead.... I maybe I have gotten lazy as got older lol...

Chilli? Hmm. Okay - I can make Chilli. But there will be nary a kidney bean in sight! Yuk.

I have experienced one of @NYJmpMaster 's omelettes - I highly recommend everyone tries one (then I have to make less Chilli!)

The weather is beautiful today - blue and bright and lovely - though a few clouds have appeared. I should get outside and do something before it gets dark.

Slowly the sky fills with white
Drifting, cleansing Earth.

Today I'm seeing my counselor. The one at my doctor's office. It's good, though, because I need someone to help calm me down about my potentially failed class. That's really all I've got planned, besides maybe watching a hockey game.

The chill outside here
Matches the one in my soul

Went to a makeup class today just to learn something new, it made me think about my ex a lot which was a huge trigger. Then I came on SF and found 2 threads about books which made me all excited to dig up my collections and start reading! So I guess I'll order a yummy omelette with a side of chili enjoy a book while I'm stuffing my face

As for the challenge:

Watching the bank account getting tiny....am tired. Just tired of working pretending I am better.

Thanks for today's challenge @Rockclimbinggirl. I do love to learn something new everyday. So as I google "haiku" I guess I'll be needing a few of @NYJmpMaster omelettes! I'm not complaining though... Mmmm omelettes. But @Freya is off the hook as chilli is not my thing.

After 4 omelettes (sorry @nyjumpmaster) I think I'll have a crack at it:

Leaves dance in the wind
Bitter, harsh, stinging my face
How I miss the sun

That was a bit hard as I'm sitting in Australia in the sweltering heat....
