Good morning all! Weekend is almost here! To start the day, we have fresh brewed coffee and tea on the counter.

No one else is up, so I started breakfast - it's a buffet, so please help yourselves.

apple juice, tart cherry juice, apricot juice
croissants, scones, crumpets, multigrain melba toasts
jam, honey, currant jelly
sliced cheddar cheese, hard boiled eggs
oatmeal (hot), cornflakes (cold)
bananas, apples, raspberries, oranges

I had meetings yesterday so I'm doing a day for me today...Groceries, housecleaning, snuggling my cat, reading.

My friend B asked me to text a specific message every morning, but I didn't get up and send it to him until late so I don't know if he's just busy or if he didn't really want me to text him that. Guess I'll see him at practice if he doesn't get back to me before. Someone posted on the team Facebook group suggesting we do a team bonding activity tonight before our last regular-season game tomorrow. But it'd probably cost money and I have $5 to my name, so I guess I can't do it if we are actually going to do something.

I'm trying hard to have a good day, but this doesn't feel good at all.

My mom will have to get a lot of tests because her blood pressure is very high. She was just worrying me by how she was talking. So I hope all is ok.

Literally three minutes after I posted my last message, my friend responded to the text. Guess I am going to do it every morning. (It's just a positive affirmation to help with my negative attitude.) Had fun at practice and didn't mess up too bad. It was another one where almost nobody showed, so we didn't have the numbers to do everything we wanted to. We're trying to get to the game early tomorrow so wer have time to do everything tomorrow. Now one of my closest friends from the team has invited us over to hang out. Think I'll go once I shower.

Watching the cubs at bat bottom of 5th inning. Aggrevating nail biting scores of 0-0. Both sides are really battling it out

My life is over. Cubs lost. I didn't lose but gained 4 pounds with one meal.

Nuu, not the Cubs; bad enough that my day sucked. The Cubs are well over due for a World Series win. They came so close before and to see them be defeated again . . . .

Lol. I was reading that 1 out of 4 diehard cubs fan wants the cubs to lose! How messed up is that! Lol

What the heck? Why??? That is indeed very messed up! They haven't one a World Series in over 100 years. I get that other team hasn't one in decades either, but the Cubs are certainly good enough to win the title. It's like the the NBA Championships - we were watching the game and the fans of the home team started walking out prematurely in waves. Talk about supporting your team!
