Good morning/afternoon/evening to you!

Nice to see all the responses to the daily cafe postings!

Its almost 4 am and my day has begun. Read the newspaper. The world news is distressing. Please join me in prayers for peace.

Today I have a GP appointment to find out results of blood tests. Appointment is right before lunch, so might swing by Sonic and pick up a burger for lunch (a treat since I've almost eliminated all fast food).

Will continue crocheting hats for Christmas gifts.

Am also wondering, do you have a favorite apple? Braeburn, Gala, Pink Lady? There are so many to choose from these days. I grew up thinking Red Delicious was "apple".

God bless!

Good morning.
Prayers done this morning. Tea in hand and some reading getting done. Prayer is amped for the world state right now. Please Peace.
I hope your results are what they need to be Angie.
My favorite eating apple is Honeycrisp, I remember when they came out it was an event. The others you said are good too. I like baked apples, any kind works. Do you have a favorite?

Honeycrisp are delicious! Its a toss up between Honeycrisp and Braeburn for me, although I often purchase Gala just because they are half the price.

Another vote for honeycrisp. I hope to make real applesauce this week.
Today is a work day. Then tai chi class. Two weeks until the black sash test. My daughter has organized a group of her friends to watch the final ceremony. I had asked her to attend since I would have no one else there and that would be disappointing. But I didnโ€™t expect a group!
Good day to everyone.

Thanks for the tag @Angie :)

I woke up this morning to the first frost of winter. Considering we were wearing t-shirts last week, the cold this morning was a bit of a shock to the system! I had to scrape the car windows before setting off to work. Now I just need to figure out how to set the timer on my heating!

I love any apples that are sharp and juicy - I'm not a fan of them if they're too sweet. I'm allergic to apple skin too so always have to peel them which then makes my hands itch. So I don't eat many apples ๐Ÿ˜‚

How were your results? (feel free to message me!)

do you have a favorite apple
Of course I do - I'm not an animal! haha I'm a fan of a Pink Lady myself. But in lieu of that I'll go Gala or Fuji. I used to really love a Granny Smith but seems I don't get those any longer. Must've grown out of liking those as much.

I grew up thinking Red Delicious was "apple".
Yeah, I think that those have always been ultra cheap so schools always stocked them by the bushel and our parents would buy these when money was tight. (for some reason my house didn't stock up on fruit in general, which is weird) I'm glad that as an adult I don't have to be subjected to the Red Delicious of the world.

Prayers for the world. I have never much eaten apples by themselves but as pie, marmalade and preserves which I make here. It is also great as soft cider and a treat nip or two of hard cider and applejack at times.

Honeycrisp and Pink Lady are the best apples. There is a newer type of apple called a Cosmic Crisp that I have found at Trader Joe's, and I'll just grab one to take home and eat. The last one I had was massive and really tasty.
In my house growing up, we always had to get Red Delicious apples for my dad along with actual good kinds for the rest of us because they were the ones he liked. But he does have terrible taste and is often scared to branch out and try new things.

I'll be on the lookout for Cosmic Crisp, sounds delicious!
