Hello SF family, I hope this finds you well as can be.

I was thinking about spices. I have a whole cabinet full and use maybe two or three.

What spices do you keep on hand?
What spices do you use regularly?

I use, salt, pepper and... Everything Bagel!
Everything Bagel seasoning is great on so many things!

What spices do you keep on hand?

Salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, paprika and chili powder are among the most used here. Onion powder is another one that I use at times.

What spices do you use regularly?

Mainly the above mentioned but when trying something new or just experimenting most anything I have and think has come into play.

Oooo you are speaking my language @Angie
What spices do you keep on hand?
Solomon many. Besides the basics of peppercorns, kosher salt, basil, Italian seasoning, i use cumin loads. Also quite a few that add a smokey flavor to meats. Cowboy butter, garlic powder and ginger (i prefer fresh on both), and green chili powder. Those are many of my staples. i have a decently sized cabinet full of spices. Both savory and sweet.

What spices do you use regularly?
Quite a lot. my body can't handle chemical heat, so i use spice flavors to create food the same way a painter uses paint. i also smell everything before i put it in. It gives me the flavors and tells me if they will go together or not. i use everything in my cabinet a minimum of 2‐3x a month.

I have a lot of spices and seasonings in the cupboard. A few of the ones I love the most: whole nutmegs which I grind fresh on a spiffy microplane, peppercorns, Greek oregano, salt.

Outside in the garden box this year I succeeded (!) growning some of my other favourites:
Italian parsley; it has a lot of vitamins and has been grown for thousands of years
Tarragon,
rosemary,
spring onions,
about a dozen garlic plants which I need to harvest soon,
Lemon thyme,
French thyme,
spearmint (😋confined to its own pot so it can't take over the entire garden)

I haven't been cooking much, but this thread has given me many ideas. I tend to just use cinnamon for coffee and Mrs Dash for seasoning. I'd love to grow my own herb garden one day and plan to do so, but for the time being, I need that everything bagel seasoning!
the Walmart "Great Value" Everything Bagel is really good and much less expensive than the name brand
