Wow! I'm genuinely quite speechless that it's still stuck with you! Yes, I did write it. I was feeling quite defeated when I wrote it in my private diary. I thought I'd post it on the forum to share with others which is why I named it, "Not a poem, just cold reality".
I'm glad that people can relate to it, albeit with their own interpretation. I mean, it's not incredibly uplifting but extremely relatable.

i only ever remember one quote and it is the quote of a villain. hmm. but it seems hopefully applicable these days. “it'll soon be over now... my pretty”. of course in the sense i am thinking now, “my pretty” is optional. or we can all think of everyone as pretty? maybe that will do too. meanwhile i forgot to pay my bills yesterday so i better attend to that now and i’m still in slothmode even with the usual cup of coffee.

I have hundreds of fave quotes but I guess I will just pick one of them & say, aside from the one in my sig, one of my faves is:
"We are all at our own level of personal evolution"
(That one was said by my uncle who I have not seen in 15 years as of this August & who I miss with all my heart. No idea where he is, have tried to find him but he doesn't want to be found.)

Speaking of tattoos whenever anybody brings the subject up I claim to have one that I got when a lot younger, a United States flag and you can it was a long time ago because the flag has thirteen stars.
