My birthday lies between two sad days. So I chose another day and celebrate.
And, if something happens that day that ruins my celebration, I "declare" a mobile birthday that year, choose a splendid day just for me, and celebrate.
By the way, I celebrate many New Years too! (the common one, chinese,...).

I ended up having some today actually. Would've liked a red sauce like in the picture, but it was still good. I had a bag of frozen gnocchi al gorgonzola from Trader Joe's. Was nice.
