Goooooood afternoon café peeps (or morning or evening depending on where you are from!)

I am afraid if you want breakfast this morning you are going to have to head through to the kitchen and help yourself. Please don't leave a mess or @Innocent Forever will come after you with a spatula!

If you are in the market for lunch, however, then roll on up. We are serving indian food because... well why not? We have a range of delicious curries and all manner of pakoras and bhajis and other things I can't spell ;)

Today's Challenge: Tell us someone who inspires you and why. It can be anyone - family, friends, famous, historical... doesn't matter who :)

@NYJmpMaster inspires me. He is the strongest person I know and by far the most fair and compassionate, despite the many things that would make any other person bitter and resentful. He inspires me to be better - to remember to put myself in the other person's shoes. Thank you Ben.

Wow that's a difficult challenge today :) there are so many people who inspire me on the forum and elsewhere. But I'm going to keep it to SF. I have to say...........
@Freya .......I think Lu is the glue that holds this place together. Even with working a stressful full time job she spends hours on the site, keeping things running smoothly, quelling uprisings and solving problems :) plus she's a darn nice person. So on behalf of SF "WE LOVE YOU ❤️ Lu" thank you for giving your time and for looking after us and making SF the great place it is.

Ps I love all of you, many of you are like family to me.

Any paneer dishes? That's my favorite thing to get for Indian food. That, and maybe some garlic naan or something.

It's still pretty early in the day for me to make a judgment on how things have gone today, but it's been good so far. I got to hang out with my friends like they said we would. The one guy drove us to a place called Beto's Pizza where I had never been. It was a pretty cool place and the pizza was pretty good. I'd never really heard of this before, but the way they make the pizza is they add the cheese and toppings after the pizza is actually cooked. Here's a picture someone else took at Beto's.
I got a piece with mushrooms (which were gross and tasted like they came from a can) and one with banana peppers (which were much better). Each slice was $1.60, plus 55 cents for a topping. Mine kinda fell apart and made a big mess, but it was still enjoyable. My one friend had a lot easier time eating his, but he had tried it multiple times so he had practice. And the other guy just got a salad. It was fun. We hung out a lot and had some cool conversation. When we got bored of chilling at Beto's, we drove downtown and sat in the sun on campus. We couldn't stay too long, though; a quarter only gets you 4 minutes in the meter and we were all pretty broke. But it was ok. We stayed as long as possible, then the other 2 guys had separate things they had to go take care of so I got driven back home. I've been chilling by myself ever since. Sort of watching a hockey game of Canada vs. Finland, but I'm not sure what language this stream is even in.

My friends are pretty awesome. They're understanding of my issues and always open to listen or offer me some encouragement. I was talking about how I may or may not be able to come back to school in the fall, and they were reassuring me (in their roles as captains) that even if I'm not in school at the time, they'd love to have me around for practices and meetings and stuff. I was kind of worried I wouldn't be able to, which was really hard to think about. But it looks like the only things I couldn't do would be play in an actual game or serve as a student leader (which would mean I'd have to give up my position as secretary :( )

I know you two both did SF people, but I have to say that these two guys are my inspiration. They are the shortest guys on the team besides me (I'm 5'2" and they're both around 5'7"). They're both really tough and strong guys and pretty damn good at rugby. The one guy is skinny, but the other guy is heavier. Like I am. They just persevere so much and just seem to exude confidence on the field and in social situations, which is something I lack. They're just amazing people in general and I am proud to be their friend.

You know, for as much as the "who is your hero", "who inspires you" question comes up in this life one would think at 40 years old I'd have an answer by now but the fact is I still don't. I'm the one that struggles to get up every day - I'm the one that pays my bills - I'm the one that lives with all the physical pain I'm in - I'm the one that takes care of my family - I'm the one that gets my ass to work on time, every day, no fail. I do that shit so I don't have to "look up" to anyone for things cause I'm doing it. Maybe that's a bad attitude and I should try to find a better answer. Maybe I'd be happier in some way if I found one of those people. I do think my dad is a really exceptional person but does he "inspire me"? I don't think so... not a word I'd put on it. I don't know. I'm a mood killer.

Love all ya'll people around here. Have a great day.
