What is the best show to watch now?
I like Tracker which is a current show on CBS and Paramount +. Even though it is old now I am watching Bridgerton on Netflix, then Cobra Kai and Lincoln Lawyer. Except for Cobra Kai, I like mystery series.

What is your favorite movie of all time? tough one; I like action-comedy movies. I do have to watch Christmas Vacation every Christmas season so I guess it's my favorite.

What is your favorite book of all time?

I don't have a favorite book. I read too much

What is your favorite book of all time?
Movies.....Forrest Gump comes to mind, Castaway as well. Then Cary Grant in most anything and James Cagney in his comedy and dancing movies like Yankee Doodle Dandy.

Books....Besides many spiritually oriented/content books, in this moment I'm remembering Exodus and Hawaii which I read when around 12 years old. Left quite the impression, probably assisted in my love for travel and history.

Among shows that are actually coming out right now, my favorite is Shrinking. It's about a therapist who begins using unconventional means to help his clients while dealing with his own grief. It's on Apple TV+, but personally, I find it... elsewhere.

Thank you @Angie, and thank you for the tag @cymbele and @Kiwi2016 . Safe hugs to anyone here who needs or wants them.

Hmm, since I do not have a television, nor use any streaming service, I am not able to provide an answer as to the best show.

My favorite movie of all time yipes how can I pick only 1?

Favorite book: also extremely difficult to only choose 1, but has to be the Lord of the Rings series.

Thanks for opening @Angie, and for tagging me @cymbele. *hug*hug

What is the best show to watch now?
In my opinion, the best show out there is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

But i want to be clear, i stressed "in my opinion" because it's definitely not everyone's kinda deal.
Most of it can be most easily accessed on Crunchyroll, but not Part 6, which is only on Netflix last i checked. (God i hate licensing agreements *grr)

What is your favorite movie of all time?
Oldboy.

But again, this is another one that's really not for everyone, it's seriously next-level dark. I think you have to be a very specific kind of person to truly appreciate what it has to say.

What is your favorite book of all time?
Metro 2033. Obviously the book doesn't have any fun gifs, so here's one from the game.

....i'm also realising i wouldn't freely recommend this book to just anyone, because it's also majorly dark. I swear i'm not normally this pretentious. *hiding

No streaming platform here so that is one I can not answer.

What is your favorite movie of all time?

Too many favorites to name, but here recently I did rewatch the old Frank Capra movie You Can't Take It With You which is always a favorite for some oddball fun. :)

What is your favorite book of all time?

Quite a few. I did recently reread Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. It is a good one concerning loyalty, friendship and fighting against dystopia. The movie version came out in 1999 but because of Columbine it did not air for a year or so. Anybody who has read it, nows. When the Hunger Games movie came out I thought...that is Battle Royale. LOL My favorite character was Hiroki, quiet, shy, loner and reserved but caring, studied martial arts so could be tough if needed, but also a lover of things like poetry and things of beauty that are pleasing to the psyche.

Tysm for the tags @Kiwi2016 and @cymbele and to Angie for opening this cool and fun cafe :) I’m pretty good overall, got some chores outta the way earlier so now I’m in relaxing mode for the eve. Hope you and everyone else are well too.

1. Best show to watch “now”: I’m enjoying the show “The Blacklist” on Netflix, it can be a bit violent and sometimes even gross/creepy, but aside from those parts I think it’s pretty good. It has James Spader on it too and he’s one of my fave actors so that definitely helps a lot as well lol :p I also like South Park and Family Guy cos they’re funny :)

2. Fave movie of all time is probably The Matrix. I’ve seen it so many times, and back when I had cable whenever it was on I’d always watch it (especially if there was nothing else on anyway lol) even though I owned it and could watch it whenever I wanted lol. Also love the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies a lot too.

3. Fave book of all time is probably either Harry Potter 3 (Prisoner of Azkaban) or various kids books (not cos of the stories so much but the adorable, beautiful illustrations, sometimes the stories are cute too though lol). Ya I have such sophisticated taste in books I know lol :p

@Lisa the Goatgirl

When I was young, I picked up a little 45 min ova on a whim. It was called “Baoh.” I really liked it. I described the visual style as being like a fashion magazine.

The creator went on to make Jojo’s.

Baoh is free on YouTube, and at least it’s short if you don’t like it, just saying.
Ooh, i'm definitely gonna have to check that out. 👀 Araki's work is insanely stylish, so I'm always up to explore more of his hyper-stylised designs. Thanks for the recommendation. *hug

I'll have to go with any of the three Stargate series on Prime. Sure, it's from many years ago, but I'm not excited much for change 😂

Too many books and movies to pick (apples, oranges and then some)... but let's say Neverending Story for both movie and book.

(Just as an aside, I remember the good old days when there were 3 or 4 channels and you wanted to watch all 3 or 4 shows broadcast at the same time, but had to pick only one. Now there are hundreds or thousands or even unlimited channels you can stream anything from at any time, and nothing to watch 😂)
