Lost an aunt to [method] sat

#1
Havent been on here for away because of starting school and new job. Everything has been doing pretty well. Until recently when I got news of my aunt through my sted dads side took her life. We had our problems but I truly loved her dearly.
Suicide always hits home for since since a year and a half ago I tried to kill myself. I tried [mod edit: method]. Sadly, my aunt took her life like this. I had to get through my work weekend with having this pain on my shoudlers. I worked so hard on faking a smile and holding my emotions in for work. But Sunday I broke down. Now I just feel all bitter and hating anything about christmas. I can't stand to listen to christmas music or get joy in my normal hobbies. I ended up not even going to my class today and stayed in bed all day. Idk what I am supposed to feel or do.

Hi there @lilshortcanadian I am so sorry for your loss, can't imagine how hard it is to lose someone so close to suicide but we are here for you and will ensure you recoer from this safely, are you seeing a therapist? If not, I think therapy would be worth a go. Are you on medications? (hugs to you) here if you need someone to talk to.

Sorry to hear about your aunt. Suicides are really tough, they're not the same as other deaths and they don't affect those left behind the same way. I agree that it also tends to affect the way we think of this ourselves, positively or negatively - it's gonna make you feel something. Sorry you're having a rough time, hang in there and show up any time to chat.
