Personally, i would suggest throwing our current educational system (standardised testing, the ways kids are taught to just regurgitate information, etc) in the bin, and starting over with a new system which prioritises helping each student practise their own personal strengths and shore up some of their biggest weaknesses. It would at the very least be far better for the mental health of kids going through that school system, and would likely produce a generation of much more specifically capable adults.
The human drive to always learn more, understand more, and question more.
Also just the wide variety of awesome and fascinating species that make life so varied and wonderful.
An ability to have a frank discussion about the logic of a given course of action, even if it's one you don't morally or emotionally agree with. Being able to discuss these things both helps with finding a better course of action, and aids in understanding why the course of action being discussed may appeal to others.
