Listen to some upbeat music. Put down the negative, screaming, cursing nosie for a moment. I'll play soming with a dancy beat to get my spirts up, especially before work. There's nothing wrong with heavier music, but from my own experience I aggregates my negative moods/feeling. I'm a firm believe that what we feed ourselves (no just food; music, movies, ect) can manifest in what we put out into the world.

The biggest positive for me is accepting what I react against as “negative” as a part of this cosmos, which doesn’t exist to service my needs or desires. When my pain wakes me up at night, do I moan about it, or do I remember times back in 1971 when I ran around the honeysuckle, scraped my knees, and got stung by bees—whilst “Aunt” Myrtle complained of her aches and pains her entire visit?—she was 57, only four years older than I am now; obese, chain-smoked and looked 75. Although parental divorce from that family prevented me from learning her fate in detail, I don’t think she lived to be 75. We can change our health habits—or face either disability or death at an earlier age.

That’s one “politically correct” thing the Millennial generation’s gotten right. The Marlboro Man is bad news (John Wayne and Yul Brynner both died of lung cancer), which makes me so glad I’ve been quit for 4½ years now. So, I’m gonna go out and suck some of that fresh air in—it’s just finished raining, and it was so parched here this July & August. :p

Tomorrow I will finish drastically pruning the last of my flowering cherry trees. They are getting to be too much to handle. Hacking them way back should make life easier. Of course, it will takes weeks to get rid of all the branches. Don't have much garden disposal available.

I spent the day with the phone off doing whatever the hell I want. I watched my shows, finally saw Serenity, had a cheeseburger for breakfast and a plate of chocolate and strawberry ice cream for dinner and drank lots of beer. Yes, in my world, that's all positive:D
