Anger and shame go hand in hand!

I have been feeling very angry and ragefull past week. My Sons birthday is coming up and I know I have been keeping my feelings bottled up and I know my anger started and I just , well even knowing myself I still let it get the best of me and who else but people closest to me do I take it out on! Well since the closest people to me is here on SF I just blew up especially on chat. And you know!

It doesn’t matter what or how it’s started it just goes from 0-60 in 2 seconds and the aftermath is always the same , feeling no better but shame and sadness. Nothing gained nothing helped just more sadness.

I hate that I’m this way and I hate that I have come so attached to this place that I face myself, but facing myself I guess makes me understand more who I am or who I can become.., I hate seeing my faults and my sadness and anger., so much easier shutting them out

Most of all I hate hurting others when I myself am hurting

They say acknowledging it is the first step to dealing with it, so sounds to me like you've made a start. Have you sought any professional help to deal with how you feel?
