My Birthday was actually on Wednesday, so the day before yours, but I had a lovely day on Monday, so I decided that was the day I would celebrate lol. It's just a question of marking the event at some point - no-one says we have to stick to the precise day lol, as long as it's somewhere close.

Pleased you had a nice day Friday, anyway. *hug

Yeah, good point! :D I think we should get the whole week and choose which day we want to enjoy it on! *hug
Plus, Sunday is Mother's Day here so I'm getting a bit spoilt anyway!

Ooh, lovely! All I used to get on my Birthday in the United Kingdom, was exams season. Haha! That said, it's always nice to look forward to the odd year where my Birthday is a bank holiday lol.

Yes, it's weird, isn't it? We usually seem to not be 100% on the day itself but usually find a lovely feeling on a day within that week. Bizarre.

Must be lovely to be spoilt. I'm sure you treasured every moment. *hug

No public holidays here in May. With Mother's day always falling on the first Sunday on the month, it's never once been on my actual birthday but it's always really close. It also means that I get Birthday and Mother's day presents combined! :D Doesn't bother me though as I'm not really into gifts. I'll take a homemade card and some cheesecake! Yum!
