I had one last night, very realistic, that I was in my kitchen, and tasted milk that had spoiled, but consoled myself that I had a fresh bottle in the refrigerator. Which in real life, I do have an extra bottle, but the current bottle hasn't spoiled. It seemed like I could actually taste sour milk

peace
:)

2 nights ago I had a dream about meeting my elementary school crush. He told me that he had a crush on me, and he also told me that doesn't mean he's gonna date me and not to get my hopes up. I didn't respond and just stayed silent. He was always an asshole back then anyway. When I woke up, I looked him up and I was like... "meh, I'm not interested in you anymore!" Haha. But I wonder why he showed up in my dream. I haven't thought about him in years and years, but if you tell me his name I think I'll always remember him.

That actually happens to me a lot where I dream about people I thought I had forgotten about.

I hadn't been able to shed tears/cry in like 6 years time (offline, IRL :D ) - and it actually happened recently in a dream. Tears of relief mostly and inner acceptance of some sorts, things & people I'll miss.

I've been living in various special (assisted) housing facilities for 9 years and am finally moving out to have a place of my own. This was represented in my dream by places I've been to (visually, vague images anyways) and have lived in over those years. I didn't think that improvement was possible, but I feel like I got to be where I'd want to be in the end.

It's like my mind wanted to show me that there's the relief I've been looking for after a long fight and inner struggle about who I am after my mental health was declining.

Perhaps I've been suppressing this thought and feeling for a long time. Feeling that there's also things that I'll miss... people, environments, safety and all that.

That was the dream. @JDot - thanks for the thread idea :)

Mine is being back to my A-Levels, and I have only done revision for one subject, so I am determined to cowardly bow-out of the whole thing and leave the school, prematurely, which is acceptable here, at that level.

I did leave education at that level, and I think it's a sign that nothing has satisfactorily been achieved since.
That's actually pretty similar to the ones that I get every now and then where I've got exams just round the corner but have done next to nothing in terms of prep and revision for them. It's probably a nudge or a reminder even to always be prepared and to have a plan instead of trying to pull things off on the fly.

Yes, I think you're absolutely right, there, Ash. Hope you're alright; I've missed you. *hug

I have all kinds of weird dreams, often very vivid and as real, if not realler, than reality. I used to keep a dream journal but got out of the habit with my insomnia. This could be a useful place to share my weird dreams, if I write them down I can always recall them, even years later, whereas if I don't, I lose them pretty fast!

Last night I was some kind of ghost hunter, I was in a chemistry lab and doing some weird experiments, then we got a signal to go out in the field. We (I don't know who I was with, but I wasn't alone!) came across a big white limo that was like a puzzle box and we were supposed to get inside. After investigating, I found a toy telephone in one of the headlamps, and pressed the button. A voice came from inside the limousine via the toy handset, saying "Help me. help me". We managed to get the door open but got sucked inside by some weird force and the door slammed shut. This girl said, thank God you're here, but then she got sucked into the front compartment and a glass shield went up between the front and back seats, and a monster appeared in the driving seat. The girl said "What now, I thought you were supposed to have special powers"..... There was a lot more to it, but I didn't write it down as soon as I woke up so it's already fading into oblivion.

I don't have it often, but sometimes I will dream I am in a race but I get to the starting line late and everyone else has already gone. They let me set off, but along the way I completely lose the route and end up running along busy shopping streets, completely unable to find the race route and just running indefinitely with no real sense of where I'm going. Sometimes I will see a runner with a race number in the distance, but am never able to get close to them before the disappear around a corner!

Maybe it's some form of anxiety caused by an inclination to measure oneself against others in society but with a feeling of not being able attain a similar standard as well as perhaps trying to find a purpose or direction in life in which you are comfortable with?

Of course I could be talking b@ll@cks so feel free to ignore this reply lol.

I had some weird dreams again, I can't remember the majority but I was reading something that brought a memory back. I was seeing a doctor and was diagnosed with prostate cancer - but he said you don't need to worry as most men your age already have this, you'll likely outlive it so I wouldn't worry about it. This is actually a recurring theme. I once had the same dream and my father was diagnosed with it, but in reality he didn't have it when he died, so I don't believe these dreams are prophetic. I think you just hear so much about it at my age and I've had relatives much younger than me who've had it. Last time I was checked all was good though. Dreams are strange things.

Last night I had another dream about water. I've always hated dreams about water, because mine were always involving drowning or something scary about water. Last night we had to jump into the water to save ourselves. It wasn't that good. The other time it was something to do with swimming pool. In my dream I was in the early 2000s and everything looked so "vintage" and old. It was giving me some eerie feelings. I was at this HUGE waterpark and it felt scary.

I had weird dreams again - extremely vivid. But my recall is almost non existent lately for some reason. I know I dream, I know it's extremely vivid, but that's all I can remember, which is kind of interesting in itself! If I remember any I'll share them here!

I dreamt of my brother who is gone. In the dream he was with some friends of the family who also are no longer living, at their house by a lake. He was happy because he loved and felt at ease around them and could go fishing as much as he wanted. I don't often dream about him, so this was cool. Dreams are just dreams nothing else; but it was nice to think of the possibility of happiness and peace for him.

Had some recall today, a very long dream sequence. I was a student, but I was going to university in China. I was preparing to go and was in my kitchen, when I somehow pulled out the entire drum of my washing machine and put it in the sink. I couldn't put it back because it was too heavy, so I got some help then put it back and started a cycle. But I started the wrong program and didn't know how to cancel it. Then my nephew came round with some snacks. Then I was with someone and asked them how long the flight was, they said 7 hours, I said I couldn't remember it. Then we were in some big Chinese city, everyone had a number on their dorm window, I was struggling to find mine, then I found a bed and was next to some rowdy girls. Then I was on a motorbike exploring the city, there were different lanes for motorbikes and AI drone vehicles which doubled as traffic cops. At some point I got my phone out and realised I had left the washing in the washing machine (non sequitur!) and also left my laptop and phone charger behind. I asked whoever I was with if they sold such stuff in China. They said bro, they MAKE that stuff in China. I remember going in a gold shop and when they saw my cards their eyes lit up but I said I wasn't buying. Then I was queuing up to register and I could't find a number. It was for an old work account and I really needed it but couldn't find it searching through my emails. Then I remember going into a rough pub full of pirates and getting into some kind of fight and threatened by someone with a knife.

Weird. Interesting how journalling dreams brings back a bit more!

I only remember that I was dreaming and when I was asked something (in my dream) I answered with my voice - and woke up because I heard someone speaking... no joke. And not the first time...
