Ideas & Opinions Aunt Died Right After Prayers

My Aunt passed away the other day. But let me also ask a question about it.
She was residing at a Care Home when she began developing severe pain, in great suffering, despite the medication. So it was decided to call for a Reverend to visit and pray for her.

The Reverend came and prayed over her. Then right after the Reverend left the house, my Aunt died. So my question is---was it God showing compassion by causing my Aunt's demise, her departure? Let me ask that question because the timing of her departure sort of weighs on my mind, that she died right after the Reverend prayed for her. Hopefully your responses will put my mind at ease.

They say that when at peace they pass on. Maybe prayers have her peace?

I don't know, but in psychology studies a lot of people die right after an event like Christmas, birthday etc - so it is thought they are hanging on for the event. So maybe she was somehow waiting for him to come, and it gave her peace so she let go.

I'd tend towards what @Lady Wolfshead said. Your aunt may have relaxed and a part of her was able to let go.
It is somewhat odd timing, I guess. I don't think you neer to ruminate on it. It's between your aunt & her Maker.

I don't think either prayers or the absence of prayers would have altered anything.

C. S. Lewis summed up prayer beautifully I think when he said "it (prayer) doesn't change God, it (prayer) changes me.."
