Death in family

My niece called today. Her oldest son, 27 years old, died Wednesday. He had a seizure and fell in such a fashion that his breathing was compromised. His 14 year old sister found the body. How does a mother get over losing a child? Even a troubled one. She is also separated from her husband and her dad just went through open heart surgery. The daughter already has an anxiety disorder. My niece has two other sons. Her dad is doing well and her sons and daughter will be by her side. But it is going to be very difficult for a while. I will never understand why someone so young had to die. Any prayers would be much appreciated.

May the young man rest in peace. I wish that folks didn't have fear or pain. We support each other, it is the best we can do.

I think that's maybe the hardest thing someone can go through.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. I have been thinking about Elliot all afternoon. I remember his first Christmas. The toys meant nothing to him, but he sure loved playing with the boxes. He grew up to be a computer fanatic. He was playing on one when he died. He had a number of issues to deal with, but he was a kind soul.
