Do people view neurodivergent people as its a negative thing still it feels like they do and we are stuck in the stone age?

I hate that people see a whole section of society in a negative light. Neurodivergent people come are just as diverse as every other group of people. My ex husband is neurodivergent and is an absolute arse, my son is neurodivergent and is one of the loveliest people I know (and I'm not just saying that because he's my son!). People should be seen and treated on their own merits, we've all got positive and negative traits.
