There are plenty of things I feel like I should have been taught when I was younger, but no one really bothered to do that for me. Basic things like how to tie my shoes, and that's why I wore shoes without ties until maybe...late elementary or early middle school when I finally figured it out on my own. How to socialize, because I wasn't really allowed to do that, and still struggle with that now, unless it's talking online, which seems easier for some reason. Doing mental math, or any kind of math really, because that was always something I've really struggled with. Trying to fold or cut a straight line...that seems insignificant, but I can't make a paper airplane or wrap gifts worth a crap lol. And there's other random things like riding a bike, swimming, braiding hair...a lot of these seem basic but then no one really took the time to help me with them. Does anyone else feel the way I do, like they're sort of stuck in some perpetual adolescence at times? And how do you escape this feeling?
