Does anyone else struggle with sex addiction?

#1
Its led me to ruining a few relationships and hurting girls i never wanted to just because i found myself going back to the same person over and over again. I guess it may just be more attachment?

Hey I don't. I know people who have and who've recovered with therapy and going through the 12 steps. It's a coping mechanism.

It can be challenging to deal with issues related to sex addiction. If you're struggling, consider seeking professional help from a therapist, counselor, or support group specializing in addiction and mental health. They can provide guidance, support, and strategies to manage and overcome the challenges associated with sex addiction. Remember, reaching out for help is a courageous step toward positive change.

In short, yes. My addiction to sex is mostly focused on finding emotionally unavailable partners. I have an idea that this allows me an escape route, since these never last long. Also I get to have some more space if Iโ€™m the piece on the side. However this leads to hurt for me because I feel guilty about enabling them to cheat on their regular partner, plus if I get attached, well too bad so sad.

I also struggle with the internet stuff. I have thought about posting about this in the SH/substance section, but I feel awkward about that as my issues would need some indelicate descriptions that might be triggering to others.
