I will if I feel I have something worth contributing. but I will be around and will post now and again but only if I feel it has value, I will respond to people's thread if I feel I can make impact in a positive way.
There's no qualifiers in this forum. Post what when and however you need. Just not methods, which you've already said you wouldn't and sharing caring thoughts or relating to what's been said thoughts are appreciated and indicate how you are feeling sometimes.

Stopping by to ask how you're doing.

know people will ask or say "could your Autism be clouding your thinking?" and the answer to that is no, I'm completely compus-mentus and

have been seeking help for a number of years but the mental health help in Scotland is inadequate and even before Covid-19 the help was really poor despite people being honest and upfront,

so here I am on here, I found this from a page I was looking at a few minutes ago on another site in their chat section this page was mentioned.
It seems to me your autism does actually aftect your thinking. That's okay I and yet must be accounted for if you are to be logically approaching your need to be less lonely. Do you have a hobby or activity you pursue which might offer some social interaction now & then?

Could there be an organization or online group aimed specifically at autism issues? Perhaps you'd meet like-minded people there? That way you wouldn't have to be concerned about disclosing or not

I hope you are okay, &/or doing better soon.

Sorry I have not been on, have I shared methods? I'm sure that is against rules which was indicated in one of the first messages or rules I read when I first came here, I don't recall mentioning methods, or have I misunderstood the middle part of your previous comment?

Hello seabird, I can categorically say that my Autism has not clouded my thoughts or desire on the potential of ending my life, YES Autism has had a poor influence in my life and YES I struggle to navigate like most people or people who don't have learning difficulties, but I will admit though it is a factor but not the deciding factor or anything close to the fact.

I'm 30 I'll be 31 in October I've never had a proper relationship, never had a proper job, never had a good social circle (due to how Autism affects me) and since leaving Education System in 2010 I've struggled real bad to get anything positive in my life.

I mentioned in the forum instant chat earlier this week about a possible relationship with a woman from the Croydon area of London in England and despite being really close to this person for almost 8 years (and she knows about mental health and my mental state of mind) she knows that where I am in life at this juncture she knows I'm not promising to stick around if things do progress because she is one of the few people who understand when someone is in a situation so steep and dark that the struggle to recover is unlikely, it is possible but unlikely.

It's the loneliness for so long that has gotten me into this frame of mind, and it's like this I'll put it like this, Joe Burrow, QB of Cincinnati Bengals played an awesome final but was on losing side, let's say Burrows in next 10 years goes on to play another 4 Superbowls and doesn't win any so for instant played 5 lost 5, do you think Burrows isn't going to feel hurt or down at the previous 4 he has lost and now 5, or say a young couple not far from you very friendly couple aged say 21 and 23 try for a baby and miscarry, do you think in let's say 6 years time after time after time of trying and miscarrying the gap will be closed?

I'm in that boat, I've been deprived of social positivity for so long that now it has gotten me to the state I'm not thinking nice things

I didn't' say you did mention them, you shared that you woundn't and were aware of the rules of not doing so.I was just validating that you were aware.

Hi @Feeling_Lost . Thanks for telling us/me how you're doing. I'm sad to know how lonely & for so long that you've been lonely. The isolation of being unemployed and without a partner is very harsh & exhausting.

Yet, you have been communicating with someone for 8 years? That is something. If it isn't too personal, would visiting them ever be an option, I am wondering.

Your analogies are poignant & I get your point. As I said above, you must be deeply questioning & tired. In some ways most of us are in fact tired & at odds with how society works. So, in that sense you're less alone. Though this is online, here at SF many of us have intense struggles that are ongoing.

Would you be interested in learning about meditation and mindfulness? There are some proven benefits from the practice. I am not knowledgeable but, for what it's worth; have been practicing mindfulness for a few years & feel it has allowed me to escape certain negative thinking traps I'd been suffering with for a long time.

I hope you continue to share here.
