Fibro and CFS - anybody else?

Have any of you gone on the Phoenix Rising forum? It looks at the genetics involved and there's some really smart people on there who all suffer and are helping each other. Many are let down by conventional medicine and combine drugs with specific alternate therapies.

I imagine you all have researched everything possible but if not, have a look. I went on the forum because of methylation problems that I am sure influence my depression and many physical ailments and I also had my genetics done.

It is an awful ailment and you all deserve at least to be listened to as suffering from a genuine debilitating illness.

Savella worked for me (Cymbalta is in the same class of drugs). My doctor said it helped his other Fibro patients as well. I no longer take it, all my brain problems were cured last year, no more pain. One theory of the cause of fibromyalgia is the over production of norepinephrine, that is why drugs that moderate norepinerphrine help.

BTW, every doctor I had since the diagnosis has told me that it is a woman's disease

Rob - I have M.E/CFS, Graves Disease and arthritis and i'm being tested for Fibromyalgia - Aside the arthritis, i've been told the others are girls diseases too :p and i'm male.
