I've had hallucinations since I was a kid, they would always occur at night. When much younger, I would wake up and see things that aren't there. (I can't remember any specific examples, just remember waking up and screaming and waking parents up).
These hallucinations eventually stopped, but have begun again recently. (Started sometime after I finished highschool, which was around ~1 year.)
My question is, should I go see a doctor or some kind of professional? Is this just waking up from a dream and my mind not realizing I'm awake? I could understand maybe like a few seconds of the mind not realizing it, but these have lasted longer.)
(Note: I don't do any drugs, alcohol, smoking, etc..)
Things I have hallucinated:
- Thought I was holding a grenade and it was about to go off. There was a hole in my door, and I was trying to throw the grenade through the hole to get it out of my room. I missed, and then put the covers over my head to "shield" myself. Nothing happened, and realized I was hallucinating.
- Shadowy figure standing next to my bed with a knife. (right side of my bed)
- Shadowy figure standing next to my bed. (Can't remember if had a knife, was on left side of bed)
- I hallucinated that someone was after me. The furniture in my room was moved and arranged so I couldn't escape.
- Thought someone put glass in my bed underneath me.
- Had an auditory hallucination. Was as if someone was standing behind my door saying something. (Can't remember what was said, just know it was something bad.)
- Bee's being stuck in my ear(s). (Earliest one I can remember)
These are all I can think of. Basically, I never have a good hallucination, it's always bad.
