why are you feelin bad, can you share with us, can I help ? feel free to talk to me anytime i'm here
Thank you. Today is one of those days that everything seems to go wrong. Had a horrible day in college, the bus decided to break so I had to wait for another one and got late to school, we had a theoretical self-esteem class which reminded me of things I didn't want to think about, I've been feeling ashamed all day for some reason, and I feel truly sad. I don't want to see anyone today, I don't want to talk to anyone today, I hate myself and I just want to disappear

Hi Merlin apologies for not knowing but what are you studying in college? Self esteem classes are always difficult and I would suggest that your peers in the class probably felt exactly the same. Are you in college tomorrow? If so I’m sending huge hopes and hugs that it is a better day for you. Focus on your future - the bits in between can be a shit sometimes - but you will get there I promise. Stay safe xxxxx

Don't worry, if you want to say something do it. I don't feel that bad talking here, maybe it's just others' (physical) presence what I can't bear with right now. It's easier to talk in this forum. Thank you, again

I study psychology. Sometimes it's hard because it's difficult to not think about some things when the professors are constantly talking about it but oh well. Nope, luckily tomorrow I don't have to go, I have to finish a group work though but it'll be in the morning so I'll have all afternoon and evening to rest. Thank you, I'm going to study a little bit more and I'll try to sleep

Thank you guys, it's been a while since I last posted here compared to how active I was, but it's always nice to come back

Frustrated. I had a plan for what I wanted to get done today, but I can't do it until this one code finishes, and somehow it's taking 10x longer than it should.

I am unable to send PMs and I don't want to bump up my thread(leave it buried there please, lol). So I'm going to use this thread, pardon me.
I want to apologize to
@Fudgewobble,I see that you haven't logged in for over a year, but if you do again, please know that I haven't forgotten about you and feel very bad for having ignored you for no real reason.Seems like you were kinda attached to me,so I'm very very very sorry, from the bottom of my heart.

I have this habit of running away anytime i pass the most superficial level of interaction with another Homo Sapiens, its like my brain goes on ''panic mode''.I've did this to people in the offline world too.So if i'm totally isolated now its plenty of fault of my own.

I'm sorry you've had such a hard day but I'm glad you came here.
Sometimes it's ok to shut ourselves away from everyone for a day. It allows us time recover and to replenish our energy levels when they've been drained. It also gives us time to think away from the constant noise that comes with the outside world. But don't do it for too long.
I hope today is better. *hugs*

I'm worried about my son. I've been increasingly worried about him for the last couple of months. It's not unusual as I worry about him a lot but he just seems 'off' recently. He's 22 now and has been in a really good place for a few years but as a teenager he really struggled with depression, anxiety and self harm. It was so bad that I honestly thought we would lose him.
Last night he took me aside and told me he thinks he needs to see a doctor as he feels like he did back then. I'm so proud of him for having the courage to speak to me. But I'm so fucking angry at the unfairness of this illness. He's the loveliest kid, kind, thoughtful, generous, funny, gorgeous boy ever. He's 22 and making plans to move in with his girlfriend. He should be enjoying life to the full. How dare this shit get into his head again. It's not fair.

It would be more unfair if your son didn't have the balls to tell you how he were feeling, Lula. He's manning up and letting you know he's unhappy and feeling like crap and that takes balls.
I feel you. My son is the same way (age 26 - yesterday!) so I get what you mean by "unfair" and all that. It's bullshit. I feel like I dealt him some bad genetics. Fact is, we all get the hand we get and all we can do is search around for ways to fix these things.
Best of luck to you both.

My mothers entire side of the family is unstable in various ways. It trickles down for generations and looks like it didn't stop with me. My nephew is also ... hm.. going to be a little odd (my sister is seriously mentally ill)
My family are generally just arseholes so the instability has started with me

I can relate @Lulabelle and @Walker , my youngest son (25) had some issues a couple of years ago when he left uni and had to go out into the real world after having years of structure, he felt so lost, the big wide world was a scary place. I worried about him everyday that he would do something , I'd call him twice a day to check he was ok it was really hard , I don think I've cried or shouted so much as I did during that time. I too felt I'd dealt him a rough deal, but in some ways it made me understand how he was feeling as I'd been in that place many times before.

He is well atm and working towards his accountancy career and I'm really proud of him.

Sorry for hijacking the thread

Hi lovely - jut read this and walkers reply. I too have a son right on the edge. But like walker said your son has spoken out, he’s identified he needs support and help and that is huge. I blamed and still do blame myself for my sons pains - I guess that’s a parent thing. It doesn’t matter how old our children are - they are our children. He has a truly fabulous mum watching out for him and the fact that he can talk to you is awesome. Keep doing what you’re doing - you’re doing it right. Sending yiu and him an enormous hug and hoping you both found peace soon. Love xx
