Sorry your knee is hurt @Baywasp .

I have had success with calming down my knee pain by putting a cold pack on it for 10 minutes, and then getting into a warm bath with a lot of (unscented) magnesium salts, and soaking for a good 20 minutes. aka epsom salts. I'm probably saying the obvious but thought I'd put it here anyway.

I hope it recovers and feels better today, or very soon.

With any luck I will shake it off as I get moving.
No such luck. I feel like doodoo. It may be lazy of me, but I’m going back to bed. Maybe a nap, maybe longer. I feel so terrible that I can’t do anything. It’s not so much lack of motivation as it is that all sense of self efficacy has disappeared. Why bother, when it’s all doomed to fail, anyway?

I will see you there Mike.
my wife doesn't want me to commit suicide which i understand but she told me if god calls me home again i don't have to fight. she said she would miss me and be sad but happy i won't be suffering anymore. i think i'm starting to give in to the inevitable. suicide may or may not be a sin but going due to illness is safe

had a nap and ended up crying. Not a lot and not terrible. Needed to happen, tho. I have a habit of stuffing everything until I explode, which makes me real fun as a coworker, I'm sure. So, I'm trying to let things out in a more timely fashion.

However, now my nerves are on fire. Like every thought in my head is about how stupid and inept I am, and anyone who doesn't see through that shit is probably just as screwy as I am. It's really uncomfortable but I'm putting mindfulness to work. When I notice I'm beating myself up, I just sort of label it and then focus on my breath. Sometimes that sounds wrong to me, like I'm just escaping into an empty head. Then again, I wasn't doing anything productive by beating myself up, and stopping that is going to save me a lot of mental anguish. Also the practice of coming back to the breath becomes stronger over time, so there is a utility there.
