How Are You Feeling Right Now?

I wish I was dead. And I'm starting to get tempted by my method. I won't use it. Not today. But I am starting to think it's inevitable. I've thought this for a while, because every problem I solve (or try and fail to solve), 3 more appear. Every time I pick myself back up, life kicks me in the face.

It seems random but it feel deliberate. Surely nobody can have this many stupid things go wrong that have no solution? At random? It's like death by a thousand cuts.

I actually had a good day today. I got to work, I did my meetings, I got home in the bus in the rain and was feeling calm. I observed the wet patch on the wall outside - it had been raining heavily all day so was apparent, but at other times it isnt. I still felt calm. For some reason I decided to go up to my bedroom, I was going to do some stretches, I decided to check the windowsill that I'd cleaned on Sunday. All fine and dry. Then I knocked something over that had been by the window, and pulling the curtain back I found a section of wall where all the paint was all bubbled up. I pressed on it and it all started flaking away, now there is a big patch of bare plaster and a crack running down the wall to the left of it. I am sick of this house. Utterly fucking sick of it. I bought it as a sanctuary from the world and it has turned into a fucking millstone round my neck. I couldn't cope with the problems I already had. Trades ghost me, scam me, lie to me, or turn up, do stuff, I pay money I can't afford and they go away and the problem stays the same. Over and over again. It's not that this is a huge problem. But it might be. I don't know. Its inconclusive, but looks like water is getting into the house at multiple points AND NOBODY WILL FUCKING HELP ME.

I've written to my council, I've tried so many different people. My income is going wrong, my health has gone wrong, and this house is there dragging me further and further down. Life might as well put my my method in my hand and say "It's over. You lost the game. Do it." I seriously want to on days like this. The stress is flaring my pain condition, it's a cascade of fucking stress and misery.

I can't afford the upkeep on this house, I can't afford to sell it and rent. I can't downsize. None of the options you'd think might be viable, are viable. I've thought of all of them. None of them will work. You need money for those things. What's the alternative? The streets? I am fucking trapped. It seriously feels like life is forcing me to the edge and I cannot make sense of it any more.

I won't do anything today. But when the savings run out and house carries on falling apart around me? I cannot see a future where I survive. And it looks like the process is accelerating.
I hope you decide to keep living. I understand wanting the stress and pain to stop. It is overwhelming . I hope you can have feelings of calm & peace Soon.

Thank you everyone for the supportive comments. I've survived the night. Got work next 2 days so am just going to get through that. If that goes wrong it accelerates the decline so shitty flaking paint will have to wait whatever caused it. I need to stay functional. Supposedly a new storm in UK tomorrow but think it misses my area. I do feel anxious every time they publish headlines about bad weather.

So I pick myself up and try to keep going. I get to the office in dreadful weather, as I have a face to face meeting at 4pm. At 3pm the client messages and changes it to a remote meeting - after I've already incurred the costs and spent the time and hassle getting to the office. Another client pulls out so another income hit. I'm so tired of this bullshit.

Got the commute home now. It's a gamble between an earlier travel time - where there could be a lot more buses but also a lot more traffic, and a later one where there is less traffic, but also less buses! Will see how it goes. Might go early, and take my chances. I need to rest my brain, but it won't give itself a rest from trying to figure out the future at the moment. I was looking at jobs stewarding at gigs and the like but then was reminded that there is a lot of time spent standing around and my body starts to generate more pain when I am not moving a lot. There don't seem to be any simple answers. So JSS. Just survive somehow.

@FlamingoWrangler It seems yesterday I put a like on your post and then undid it, thinking I hadn't. lol I have an excuse of my brain being worse than usual due to packing and organizing my move. I don't know why but doesn't really matter; the monster Sully seems like an appropriate protecter right now. I've imagined him standing 7 feet tall with arms crossed and growling a warning at thoughts which usually induce the beginning of elevated heart rate, shallow breathing, fearful loops of other thoughts and the slide toward panic.

I managed to get home, the bus and traffic was OK. En route I came up with a plan that should see me alive until at least January. The 2 weeks at Christmas is pretty much the only time I get to have 2 weeks entirely to myself, no emails, no work, no projects no meetings and no expectations. I daresay my savings won't run out before then and the house is unlikely to get into a dangerous state by then. It's not much, this life has robbed me of hope of a future, but I'm buggered if it's taking my 2 weeks off me after I've started longing for that time off and wait for it all year. Sad that I have to live this way constantly making deals to survive another few months and only feeling like I'm surviving - but it's something.

pretty good. my wife and i had a serious discussion about selling jasmine. we love her and have had her for years but she is unique and has unique brakes. so between steering box and changing to power disc brakes could cost 3k to 4k because i may need to change rims and tires. probably won't because still runs great. just thinking lol. we would take what we can get and what i can raise and buy another antique car.

i am doing pretty good right now or at least not too bad lol

This topic is simple. Post how you are right now. It could be what your thinking, doing, listening to, writing...whatever! Because you know what they say:

"Get out of the past, stop dreading the future, and worry about now!"

Right now, I'm so-so, not happy, not sad, but less stressed because it's Saturday.
I feel really scared because im all alone. I am sorry I know I am not supposed to worry about the future but I am so scared of being alone in the future that being alone in the afterdeath is why I am to scared to die and being alone is why I want to die. What am I supposed to do??

That sounds really rough. I think many of us want to die but are also afraid of it and don't want to at the same time. And I think many of us feel lonely. I suspect the idea behind the thing you quoted, is just try to live for now as much as possible, make the most of what you have and don't get too obsessed with the past or future! It's not easy. I hope posting here helped you!
