I know I am an unappealing person to talk with, and therefore more likely to get snarky replies.

I think people who are angry and feel like bullying someone are going to give you snarky replies. Imho, it really has nothing to do with you, other than that they think they get away with treating you that way.

A dog gets kicked not because it has done something wrong, or is unappealing, but because the one kicking it feels like kicking something or someone, and expects not to be bitten or face other consequences. Same thing with kids being abused. Same thing with adults abusing other adults.

Ah, then I am the dog getting kicked, once again. I will try to accept this in my life, but it's hard not to feel ashamed. I am tired of this world and it is this sort of stuff which led me to si in the first place.

I feel....like I have nothing to live for anymore and I'm just being dragged through life and expected to live so that others who know of me won't be sad because it doesn't matter how I'm feeling or how I'm suffering every single day... It doesn't matter that I pray when I go to sleep that I don't wake up.... No it only matters that if I did anything to take myself out of everyone's life forever they might feel sad.....they might feel uncomfortable.... And I can't do that it would make me "selfish"..... Selfish.... In a world where when I need help or a friend and actively reach out to those whom I care about.... Those who I would be hurting in my selfishness... Those who aren't there for me... They don't reach out to me they don't ask me how I'm doing and when I express how bad I'm doing they don't offer to help... But selfish... I would be selfish to take myself away from their lives... I'm supposed to live for them... I can't even live for myself but yet am expected to live for other people.... I don't understand this logic...

I try to be mindful of this, to stay focused on straightforward and simple communication. Today, someone who's done it before snapped at me again. I held back any response except to ask if I may tell them information they needed. I'm tired of the world and it seems it is tired of me.

Shame on the person with the snarky replies. I dont know if this is the person in your case, but my children have lots to say, not always nice...they can be quite snide. I think its good that you rose above the situation and just answered him/her accordingly.

Lastly, I dont see you as unappealing to talk to. You're pleasant, intelligent, thoughtful and articulate. Just saying.

Welcome to the forum @Vaporinthewind. I also wonder the same thing you expressed, about how people in your life dont reach out or ask how you're doing. For me, its important to have a connection with old friends and it was me always reaching out. But now, they do reach out to me. Perhaps they see the effort I put in to staying in touch with texts, calls or cards during difficult times.

I hope that being here can bring you a bit of peace and clarity. There are folks here that understand and care.

How am I feeling not great had issues with my legs for a few weeks that has now moved to my feet also found I had a chipped tooth today but my memory is so bad I cannot remember if it was there before or something new which makes me angry and depressed at the same time sometimes I really hate my life
