I can't help anyone

#1
This website is built on mutual support.

I've been needy ever since I started opening up here. Lately in particular though I am falling so hard that I can't bring myself to offer anyone else support. I'm unilaterally needy now. My heart's in orbit of a black hole and I'm desperately clawing fuel to struggle against it - without any longer offering anything in return to the collective SF community.

I don't even have the strength to feel the guilt that I know I should. I don't know what to do.

It's a peer support community, but there's no requirement to help anyone else.

Helping others is nice, but it's only something that someone should try to do if they can do it without bringing themselves down.

There's nothing to feel guilty about.

I think everyone here is getting replied to their threads, SF is working just fine.

You're contributing to the site by posting, by letting people here know what's going on with you. SF wouldn't work if no one ever posted about what was going on with them and what they needed.

You dont need to directly post to be helping people.

When you post, you start a conservation. Thats a huge thing for a site like this.
You are not the only person the advice that conservation helps, but you might be the only person who can post about the issue.
In my most stressed times, I'm often unable to get through writing and submitting a post, but I am able to read the posts and replies and get solace and advice that way.
