I HAVE to listen to the Lost Highway and Reality Bites soundtrack! I only remember that one scene of Reality Bites where Winona Ryder and her friend were dancing to My Sharona

Nice! To be honest with you I don't really like to watch movies, I mean, it's like I don't care for it as much as I care about music and I think I have the worst taste in movies, like I would watch stupid romcoms (like Adam Sandler movies lol), something that would make me laugh and doesn't require much thinking 
I don't really understand specific genres for movies, what's good and what's not
But I will look up your suggestions and find something that interests me

Probably the most charismatic guy, or man I have ever known, I was working with him one summer in school... & we're out in the yard flipping canoes or something. And he's telling this story about some unknow/unsuspecting girl, who'd come running up to him at this wedding he'd attended the past weekend. And she laid or planted one big "smoocher," on him! Right beside his cheek or something, I can't remember for sure! But then he launched into his impression, to sort of remember it by, since he was so in shock & surprise by it all (as I don't believe he'd ever discovered who it was?) which was incredible: ma-Ma-MA... MY-My-MYmyMY: WHOOOOOAH!

Oh, that's another one! The Wedding Singer, LOVE IT!!! ;D (& that's okay!) Every-body is different with their tastes and their preferences in what they like. Some people don't even like, nor really listen to much music on their own. I don't know how these people get by? But I've met & even come to know some of them. And many, happen to be quite intelligent. So, it's cool--whatever it is that you do like, is what I'm trying to say~

I completely agree with you! And I like that part where you said how do these people get by without music? I can't go on a day without music! Without a movie maybe I can
I think that, probably my favorite, if not that-then at least; the most meaningful ones (to-me): maybe? Bands, in the genre primarily of 'rock,' from that time-frame, and trying to condense it as much as possible (or it dould go on "indefinitely!") is... Alice Inn Chains/Rage Against the Machine/Guns N' Roses - I'm sure there are others! . . but that's a decent start // & would never be too far, from (being) wrong~ *or is it, "right!" Absolutely agree about technology always with folks believing you have to be online, available and ready right then without any consideration that a person's life is going on and they want to live it as it suits and pleases them. I miss the days sinking fast where you could just relax, exercise patience and nothing was an end of the world rush, since most things aren't. I am glad that my nephew and two nieces learned being around me to be relaxed and to enjoy what is going on around them but without how lackadaisical I can be.
@MisterBGone were you aware of this Clueless TV series? I used to watch it a lot when I was in middle school. We had this TV channel that had old shows from the 60s-90s. This really takes me back. Alicia Silverstone didn't play Cher here, though, but I still like the girl who played Cher here!
Yes I can relate to what you said. I was born in 1984 but I much more relate to my parents generation. For a long time I thought I was born in the 'wrong' generation, and now as an adult I hate the time that I live in for the most part.
From what I see, living in different time periods is a trade off; usually you will get something you enjoy more or feel more like it's you, but than have to deal with something that might not be so good.
Well, as much as I'd like to believe that, I have no proof. Either way it's not a choice, so we have to make due with what we have. Being born in the '80s, I always feel like me and my older sister are the in between generation; a bit of the old, and a bit of the new. We grew up before cell phones and the internet etc became popular, so in a way we've experienced both low tech and high tech worlds. But for the most part I miss how things were a lot more in the past than how they are today, and especially where we're heading as a capitalist society. I feel sorry for myself sometimes that I have to live in this time period, but I feel even more for the children who were born after me that will never know what the good things of the past were like.
Either way I would say just be yourself, and don't feel sorry or 'weird' for liking what you like.

You know @puffymilk - I had not seen it, nor even heard of it! It kind of reminds me a little bit of the show Saved By The Bell, if you're familiar (that was great at the time - not sure how it's, "aged?" However!)~ / but so anyway: this must've come out after the movie sometime, then I'm guessing huh? It's ... or who's the girl that plays the lead? Is it that Lisa Donovan, or the other one looks just like Alicia Silverstone to me, unless it's just an actress who looks an awful lot like her? And the creator of that show, Amy Heckerling, has a long track record of successful hits in both films & TV. So I can see how it was well made, and done in a very cool & good way. That channel you used to have must have had a goldmine of tv shows to go through & choose from. As there were a lot of truly great programs on during those eras, given that there was no internet & all. They had to put their energy/or energies, "somewhere?" I guess! Great stuff. And it's also great that they got some of the same actors & actresses from the movie, to also act in the show. Lends it some even more cred!
