Hi
@Luthien Tinuviel . I wish you didn't have to feel this way, I really do. I'm pretty sure one of the main reasons why most people don't talk about it is because they can't handle being questioned or doubted, even for a second, but unfortunately that is what happens way too often. When people haven't experienced it or been exposed to something similar around them, they have a hard time believing such things actually do happen to others. As if it only existed far far away from them, in films and such. Also, generally, people judge
everything (which sucks, but that is entirely their failure, not yours).
I haven't really come up with a solution to that yet, apart from opening up to people who have been through something similar. They are much more likely to understand your feelings right away. Surround yourself by those who have your best interest in mind and who believe you, and ignore the ones who either don't have the right words, or assume before listening. You are not alone, Luthien.
As for comments to other survivors, if they didn't get them where you could see them, I'm pretty sure they did somewhere else. Everyone has heard them.
