I lost my best friend today.

It's awful to have lost him, and it's also awful to have been the one to find him.

I found my dad after he had the stroke that killed him. It's been over a year now since then, sometimes there are things that bring the image back.

I'm glad that he had you is his life and that you had him in your life too. It will probably take a while for the shock and the pain of this to fade. Maybe in time you'll be able to think back more about the good parts of knowing him.
