Is smoking a threat to mental health disorder people?

    Usually, mental health illness people often habituated with smoking. Here, I want to know whether it could be big threat to a affected person.

    I feel like smoking would increase anxiety because you have that need for something and people's faces look tense when they're smoking! I dunno

    It is known that people with mental health issues tend to take up the habit of smoking by a larger portion than the general population.
    I myself smoked for over 10 years, it can be used as a crutch, its something you do to get the feeling of stress relief, however false it actually is.

    I have heard that nicotine is the only drug that is not a depressant. That could explain it.
