What?! I love Snape! He had a good heart. When he died, that was one of the saddest scenes I have ever watched. Hope the last few days haven't been too awful for you @LonelyHiker

I had a good week, nothing specific happened but just felt lots of optimism, energy, calmness and happiness out of nowhere. Saw some pretty flowers on a walk. Felt full of gratitude whilst I was out alone, just being in the moment and realizing how far I've come being able to go out shopping on my own without anxiety. Made me smile a lot. Been nice to just appreciate the small moments and have a clear head without anxiety/sadness/etc.

Lazy weekend for me too. I collected my new glasses today which are awful so I'm going to have to take them back. Their website says there's a 100 day no quibble returns policy but already feeling sick at the thought of having to take them back.
The rest of the day has been spent on the sofa cuddling Scout.

this weekend, sad to report that I’m now in week 6 of extreme sciatica pain. so looking at these pictures is really lifting my spirits. cats bears icecream sunsets and whatever all!!! 😊🌻🌞. i’ll get over this pain soon. hey gotta compare pain notes with Mike (aka @1964dodge ). Well, i wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone and hoping everyone had a happy weekend and same for the up coming days. Hey, Welcome @Skylarswims , hope you make it to the café!

But yes, his sacrifice and the fact that he put his personal feelings aside to protect the son of his tormentor were truly poignant.
hey i didn’t even know what a polecat was and from the picture when i looked it up it does look very similar to the creature that was gazing at me through the fence. but i have a feeling that that one is a raccoon. there is an abundance of them here in new york. but i’ll have to investigate about the polecats to figure out if they’re around here too. gotta keep in mind that i was not aware that there are skunks living here in nyc also. but there it was nibbling away on someone’s day before picnic. so maybe nature is simply trying to drive these unnatural humans out.
Polecat was what my grandparents called skunks although other mammals are also called the term. My granddad had a pet raccoon when my mom was young. It followed him around like a puppy or kitten and he bottle and then hand fed it. He was the only person it would let pet or hold it. Somewheres around here is a picture of him carrying it head on his shoulder like a baby. That little masked bandit face looking back at the photographer.
i'm sorry about all of that pain, nobody should have to suffer a lot of pain. i hope it gets better soon and you can go out and have fun when the flowers and leaves come in.

I was actually going to post a thread or something about this and mention/tag you and probably will as soon as this situation gets tolerable. but right now this pain is so disruptive to my thinking and I can't even sit for extended periods of time that I've been leaving posts unfinished /deleted and never posted. good news is that today for the first time it feels like it might really be starting to clear up. 😊 see you soon Mike!!!
