Thank you for opening the Cafe @bag_of_struggles and iviting me @JMG

We don't celebrate Halloween here. Some people carve pumpkins with their kids for fun though.

We have Carnival in February or early March, a several days lasting mascarade. It has nothing to do with horror, it's about satire, music, traditional food and drink, and mocking politicians.
Kids also collect candies door to door dressed up in costumes.

I went to bed, front porch light shut off.

Anyone dressing up for Halloween?
Nope.


Anyone hate the holiday? Think it’s pointless?
I do not hate the holiday in spite of the way I was raised. The church I was raised in considers it Satan's holiday. It is just like any other day to me but I don't mind people having fun with it.

Any goals for November? Another month is coming up!!!
My siblings will all get together for Thanksgiving. It will be interesting as my niece just came out with her girlfriend. Most of my family considers homosexuality to be a sin. It will be interesting to watch what it does to the family.

Dracula seems to get it by no fault of his own.

Any goals for November? Another month is coming up!!! Loose some weight! I am eating a bit more during the lockdown haha

Ogoh-ogoh monster looks like kali. Diwali is in two weeks here in India and the festival is associated with kali

@MosesY , the church and other such places conditions the mind to think of certain things as bad while growing up. So it's hard to change our mind after we have grown up even when we know the facts. I understand you

Ogoh-ogoh monster looks like kali. Diwali is in two weeks here in India and the festival is associated with kali

The Ogoh ogoh are giant statues of different evil creatures made for a parade that take place in Bali the night before their New Year. Balinese are Hindu so I think there must be resemblance in appearance of the mystical creatures.

I haven’t seen the video on Youtube but I do remember watching the season Raj appeared on. He was pretty funny. I’ll have to look that up.
