Hey everyone, think it’s been about a month since I posted a cafe so thought I’d post one again. Hope everyone is well :)

Same rules as always with picking which of these pics is your fave and posting about it, and/or feel free to talk about how you are, what your fave things are, something good/positive about your day or whatever else you want.

Can’t really think of more tags sorry, but everyone is free to join the cafe of course, as always ;) Wanted to share this pic though, and also post my replies to the questions.

1. How I am is so so, been a pretty stressful last month between being sick and getting some shocking news that feels a bit like the end of the world. Doing my best to stay hopeful and positive about things though.

2. I have lotsa fave things, but some of them are cats, horses, zebras, animals in general, pink, purple, games, fashion and art.

3. Something positive about my day is I got to eat some egg rolls. Had been craving them for weeks lol.

4. Nothing much else I’m wanting to talk about, there’s plenty on my mind of course, as always, but probably best to not get into most of it lol. Just gotta take things one day at a time as I have been for most of my life. Wishing everyone a nice day though :)

Hey @JMG, thank you for opening another neat cafe and for the tag as always. :)

Hmm, well I'm partial to the disco looking pic and also the dark/spooky moon one, but all look cool.

As far as what's going on with me...I ordered some groceries for delivery, probably a lot of things I don't need, but Halloween stuff is very cheap now and I need to stock up. :D

Believe it or not I like #3 the horse. it is simple yet graceful.

My day will be exercises for my hip (Physical therapy) Tai chi ( maybe go to two classes). I have to get out with people to do better emotionally I can't go on being sequestered in my house doing exercises. Maybe I'll go back to the senior center.

Good day all. Sitting here in Santa Fe looking out the window at the fall changes in the area after Sadhana meditation and yoga time from sunrise. We are heading for another beautiful day of experience and whatever crosses our visual field out biking and tripping around. And still trying to figure out my home insurance content so I can file a claim but I am getting caught up in the doublespeak and generalizations etc......I WILL FIGURE THIS OUT*thumbsup
The horse is stunning, Ill see f I can find one to take a picture of on the way to Taos:)

Thanks for the tag @JMG
I like the turtle the best.
I've had an okay day. It's frustrating because the Capitals are playing here in Pittsburgh this evening, but I have school and work, so I can't go. But I watched a movie in my first class, so it was chill.

Super thanks for the tag @JMG Love the cafe & coffee, therefore:
Pour over coffee time for me here *thumbsup ! With my new kettle and such ~
That looks like an incredibly fine grind... I don't even know if that would make an espresso machine strain itself*. It looks like it comes pre-ground, though, because I don't see a grinder in your quite elegant set-up. I'm not sure how I feel about that because I have only bought whole beans for years now, on the assumption that the fresher the grind (and the roasting date, even more so), the better the flavor. That said, the immediately ground beans do give off carbon dioxide for a bit so that's why we let the coffee "bloom" in slow brewing methods. If not, the carbon dioxide in the water will form carbonic acid, which tastes, predictably, acidic.

*explanation - a fine grind is best because the greater the surface area, the better the flavors are extracted. That said, too fine can lead to clogs because the grounds compress and form a seal under pressure. Source: personal experience, lol.

Yes @LumberJack ! *thumbsup The grind was done in the coffee & tea store - "Simon Levelt" @ Netherlands! *yes4

That's insightful! *hi5 I'll try to experiment a bit, the taste is like a 75/100 right now :D

I love the turtle, their numbers are dwindling and I always found them to be fun critters. Driving through the rural backroads here I am one of those seeing a turtle going across a road will when possible get out and carry it across before some fool decides to rev and trying to hit the poor creature for kicks.

Thank you for opening and taggingme @JMG . Its so hard to choose but I'm drawn to the second one with all the cubes. Reminds me of works by one of my favorite artists, Paul Klee.

One special moment today was watching the new Frankenstein with my niece. We cant watch scary movies alone but together we're fine *hysterical.
