Hey all, thought I’d post a cafe for today since the last one was posted nearly a week ago. Also - Happy October!

Fave pic: #3 - The rainbow zebra. It’s hard to pick though cos there’s things I love about all the pics (guess I’m probably a bit biased though lol) :p

How I’m doing: Pretty good, definitely better than yesterday. Can’t decide about a chore I gotta do and whether to do it today or tomorrow.

How day is going: It’s ok, it’s kinda only just begun since it’s only about 7:30am here. Right now I’m watching a show I like and hanging out with my sweet kitty.

@JMG - thanks for the tag. This is not to judge anyone’s tastes, but I viscerally hate AI imagery. It’s simply not for me.

However, I think my day is going okay so far. I’m sleep deprived but have been catching up for the last 2 nights. I think I have already spent an hour typing away on SF, though, so I’m going to do some job hunting before I run out of willpower.

Thanks @JMG for opening the cafe and tagging me. I like the ginnie pig picture, it reminds me of a story I will share here. Me and the friend had gone for a walk in the woods, about 20 years ago. We sat down by a tree and I noticed corn flakes scattered all around the trunk of the tree. Then out of a hole in the ground popped out a ginnie pig, then another one, another one and one more. They looked a mess, someone had released them and they weren't doing very well.
We put them in the car and took them back to the friends where I built a shelter in the garden. The animal welfare people came out a few days later to pick them up.

Thanks @Inastorm. Please do the same. The story of the rescued guinea pigs raised my spirits and gave me a smile.

I agree with @SillyOldBear, the mouse on the leaf looking a little cheered but wondering what the adventure on the water may bring. I do have to admit though a guinea pig with a flower on its head like she is living a carefree life is also just fun. I think post three is wonderful. A forest adventure in early Fall where the weather is cooling down and relaxed and calm.

This is my favorite theme, a path through the woods, especially in autumn, takes me immediately to a peaceful place. Thank you for sharing. I’m out for a Dawn bike ride. I hope all here have a decent to exceptional day today

Two of them caught my eye even though I liked all of them. The critter on the leaf and the path in the woods. I take a lot of pictures of paths in woods. It’s like a theme.
beautiful day here and tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm. Going kayaking for the last time this year although I said it last weekend but it’ll be near 80 degrees f and I have opportunity to go with a friend.
I made vegan candied pecans for games night tonight. I cleaned and did yard work. I’m liking this part time job but I’m still not sure if I want to go full time retirement yet. I’m going to try it for a month. I’m feeling rested for a change but realize that I’m not interacting with people yet. So I might end up being lonely if I don’t get out.
