Heya all @ SF, a bit of late night writing here. :)

Today’s Jim’s Cafe (or for the next few days) is going to be about:

Shamelessly promoting any of your own offline writings! Yes, we’re running out of ideas… <(^_^<) !

Just share anything you want, could even be something as silly as a grocery shopping list you made haha or what’s on your fridge or tiny notes you’ve made! :D

I decided to share this as I’ve been writing / journaling quite a bit recently, it does me quite well… :

Cool cafe, thank you for posting it Citizen Insane, and also for tagging me. I will check who you tagged again after, and tag anyone else who is fairly likely to reply ;)

I have written various things over the last day and week. I wrote various positive/encouraging words to myself on my glass board thing in my room yesterday, and also this poem about my kitty (it’s a haiku lol) :p

Sweet kitty (03.11.26)
I love my kitty
She is so loving and sweet
A purr-fect angel

Some more tags: @Baywasp @Mid Night @Kiwi2016 @Innocent Forever @AvidFan @puffymilk

Ok those are all I can think of. Also, love the pics and writing people posted, it’s all great :)

Thanks for the cafe. Shamefully I barely ever write with a pen these days. Even do my shopping list on a notepad app on my phone. I did jot some numbers down yesterday while trying to figure out how to beat the supermarket on a threshold spend (buy just enough stuff in advance I'd buy anyway, and get the money off, without just buying stuff I don't need!). If I find anything lying around I'll try to snap it. I did write a handwritten letter to an old friend at Christmas - I had not heard from them for years and think I said some horrible things during a meltdown during lockdown. I didn't get a response but it felt important to put the effort in and hand write it. Used to write so many letters before email and internet!

Thanks for the tag and opening @Citizen Insane. I was thinking about it and realized that I dont write much. At work I write down the names of newborn babies each day along with their policy # to be added into the system. As a young teenager we used to write eachother long notes with funny pictures and code names for boys we liked. It would be fun to reread all those notes.

@Citizen Insane Nicely written, and I like your paper. : ) I use grid paper for all my journals, notes and some of my sketchbooks. The grid is handy when I want to scale up a drawing.

I write back and forth to my offspring via online apps. I keep a paper journal of my mileage, and my walks and strength workouts.

I write shopping lists on scrap paper ripped from junk mail envelopes or old tea packages.

I've always been a bit obsessed with pens, ink, pencils, brushes, and paper, and paint of course. As for writing: It's satisfying when words flow smoothly, and at least get across the kernel of thought or feeling that's bouncing around my mind. I was planning on writing and illustrating a book series with my brother - now it's on the back burner, because he passed away.

Here are a few of my favourites:
